The clockwork spins yet again
And another voice tempts me
Begging to be conscious unheard
Thwarting the demon internally

The churning inside breaks the ice
Clarity transforms into white gold
When red veils over the temporary
Everything withered being told

Another swan dies
Another lake falls
Another snake dance
Another owl calls

As the ticking eats away at skin
Bartering the boy that is inside
Calling the hourglass forever
Forfeiting the run, much oblige

And another swing at the bell
Someone telling me the truth
The fortune teller smiles wickedly
While all this acting appears uncouth

Another man breaks
Another smile fades
Another frown grins
Another mind insane

The well runs dry as birds sing
Flying across the masses ahead
Misery yells at another crossroad
Winding up yield conscious dread

To the night that never ends
To the lake that calls my name
Let the fireflies lull me down
Taking the wheel to play the game
