What would the mosaic of your life look like?

I see a beautiful red;
Deep and inviting,
The shape of a heart;
Centre of everything.

Surrounded by yellow
Shards of happiness,
Joy and empty space,
Full of childhood bliss.

Fragments of blue,
The colour of summer skies,
Moments of calm and thought,
Through perceptive eyes.

Little pink circles,
A delicate love affair,
Very far apart,
And very, very rare.

Small orange portions
For the friendships I’d made,
But now they’re all gone
And I’m alone and afraid.

Slices of green;
Lime, string bean;
Individuality;
Pure and clean.

Lilac and lavender
Intricately designed,
Courage and bravery;
Kindness intertwined.

The edges rimmed with silver
Like captured moonlight,
The twinkle in my eye,
So innocent and bright.

The mosaic came before my eyes
The night when I died;
The mirror of my life;
I smiled and then I sighed.
