this is just my ideas on how someone's life would be if they changed their gender and all grief they had to endure in the process.

I understand the other gender

You know the one soft and tender

They want to be sexy and small

And be able to sing the siren's call

Nothing wrong with that, I have to say

But we all know, what a hefty price they pay

Years of therapy and living that style

Taking all kinds of abuse during that while

Struggling hard to be who they feel they were meant to be

To them till completed, they'll never be free

I can only imagine the trial's they'll endure

And pray that of this life change they are sure

To go through life not being able to be who you are

Must leave spirit and emotions coated with many a scar?

Dealing with the world, with their bigoted eyes

Having to live though deception and lies

All this to correct the mistake they think God made

if it's their true calling, no one will dissuade

Best wishes and love go out to them

After surgery and recovery, you'll hear them shout

Free at last, free at last!

It's time to live, let the past be the past
