Death is an emotional time. Especially when a child is left to mourn a parent. Your poem illustrates the sorrow a daughter feels with the loss of her mother. The pain she will carry with her for her life time. It conveys feelings of guilt, which is natural. We all wish we could have, should have said and done something more before the tragic moment. That makes this piece original, sad and very emotional. You have brought me to tears,(SOB). Job very well done!
Aw, that was really sad, but really well written. I'm not that into poetry, but I really liked that - thanks for telling me about it.
Good luck in the challenge!
*Sniffles* Okay, you've got me in tears. Beautifully written poem. I think PumKinSpice57 mentioned everything I was going to say. You've done a really good job here :) Good luck in the challenge!

Awww:( I could feel your pain and emotions through this poem. Well-written and good luck!
It is hard not to be touched by such a subject, loss to a child of such magnitude can be crippling, you did a good job of bringing the emotion to the fore.
Thank you. :)
WHOA! THIS IS BY FAR YOUR BEST POEM! Want to know why? They way you wrote it, was exactly how a child would have said it. You captured the baffled innocense of childhood, when they can't really understand why things happen. This poem truly speaks this voice of a child. It is haunting, beautifully written, and it very emotional good job!
Thank you so much. I am glad you love this poem. :D
MADNESS IN INK

This is just amazing
Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed reading this poem. I can kind of relate to this poem except I lost my father instead at a young age. So I know how it feels when you lose a parent. Thanks for commenting. :D
The rythym was a little broken but over all the write definetly expressed the sorrow, regret, and pain of losing one you loved. Good write.
Nicely done^-6 Keep it up!
*blushes* aww... Thanks :D
Another excellent write. There's no pain that can compare to the lost of someone you love, especially a mother. You did a great job capturing all that pain and sadness in this poem. Good job!
Thank you. I can relate since I lost my father when I was very young. I know how it feels to lose a parent at a young age. You feel confused, sad, lost, and sometimes think it is your fault. Thanks for commenting. :D
A very sad and sombre poem which really breaks your heart when reading it,death is so sudden and very final there is no return ticket when we are gone it is for good and all we leave are memories.
I liked the flow of your poem and the beautiful photo of the little child with her grief so evident, nicely penned leaving yours truly in a bucket of tears.
Thank you. This was a serious picture about a little girl grieving. All I really had to do was think of a way why a little girl would be this sad. Then I remembered back when I was young my father passed away. I was devastated and thought of that incident. I then put in my own words how the little girl lost her mother. The challenge was to make the host be very sad and cry. I guess I hit the nail on the head and did this well.
I almost cried! wow. thats so sad but it was beautiful!
Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed reading it. The challenge was supposed to make the host cry. I can kind of relate to the poem since I lost a parent as well except it was my father instead of my mother. Jessica :)
