Please comment. I would appreciate the comments thanks.
I like it! It voices very well your feelings towards the true spirit of Christmas, which many people agree with and many more have lost sight of. In the times we live in, it's good to have such eloquent reminders of a more appropriate state of being.
Thank you. I thought of this when I saw some children at a grocery store with barely any coats on and could tell they were not doing well for money. I saw the mother too and decided to give her some money to help with her children. I hope this helped them out and I felt better when giving to someone who needed help. My point is there are far more people who hardly have anything and still celebrate Christmas. I figure that we all can help out the needy. thanks for commenting really appreciate it. :D
Never was a truer word spoken! I know this sounds clichéd but it's still very true: people lose sight of what Christmas really means and become very selfish, only caring about what they get. I can't think of a better thing to do at Christmas than help someone in need and give them a Christmas to remember. Lovely poem :) Good luck in the contest!
Thank you. I know sometimes I hear people talking about presents and what they are going to get. to me this is not all what is about Christmas yes it may be fun with the presents but maybe some people should talk about sharing or donating to those who are in need of help. :D
I think it was nice. Missing the element of Christ for myself personally. But other than that I though it was very well written and so truthful!!
A very good reminder of what christmas is about. :)
Thank you. I am glad you think so. :D
I'm not sure I do know what Christmas is about anymore, you poem outlines giving and generosity and kindness to others, surly that is enough? I recently saw where people of the church were abusing children, now I feel even a non-religious person writing a poem not involving Christ where charitable values are the theme has more Christmas spirit than those whom we are supposed to think of as Holy. I say the poem works, it is not the best rhyming scheme I ever come across, but the message is wholesome and good. well done, you got my vote.
Thanks. I just felt like writing this since of the incident I saw. When I gave the person some money some other people gave me dirty looks. I couldn't believe that some people are so selfish. It really saddens me how people act.

This was so well done my friend. You expressed your feelings and thoughts wonderfully. Good luck in the challenge. A very nice entry. Merry Christmas. Susan :)
Thanks. I just had to express my feelings about this. Especially when I see other people being greedy or selfish. I was the only one that gave her money. I just wish people would be more caring towards others and not always think about the gifts.
Nice going! You remembered all of us what Christmas is all about!^-^
Ah, now there's the more traditional christmas poem. I liked how you captured what Christmas is really about, not the things we receive but the act of giving. Very nice!
Thank you. I am glad you like this poem.
I really liked the message of your poem! Very nice! This is how I feel about Christmas, too (my family doesn't celebrate it religiously, we use it as a time to celebrate love and wish for peace). Great job!:D
Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed this poem. :D
well done annoncing winners on december 28th :)
good job i liked it
Thanks I am glad you enjoyed reading my poem and liked it. :D
Well done and applause! A message of poem is very true, but alas not many would listen to this true words. They are happy only if something goes well, for them, but fail to remeber there are people in need.
Thank you. I am glad you agree. Have a Merry Christmas. :D
I totally agree with the sentiments written in this poem,a fabulous heartwarming write, though christmas has now gone we often self indulge and our minds are far removed from the suffering of others, perhaps you will see in my christmas poem i have selected a war torn family as it's main focal point, thanks for sharing
You are welcome. This is just my feelings on Christmas. I think it is sad on how people have become greedy and only caring of themselves.
This was a good poem. I am not a Christian so I can't say what Christmas is really about anyhow. but I think it was pretty good written and a wholesome poem.
Thank you. I am glad you like this one. Jessica :)
