As I walk alone
along the street
at night
wondering how many dangers one could meet.
Why walk alone at night?
so many dangers
so many weird strangers.

Two strangers walking along the street
suddenly it all comes back to mind
the street I cannot find
I don't know what to say
but I have lost the way
I don't want to lie
but if I say the truth
I might as well die
inside I cry and cry
I want to hold your hand
but I'm not sure whether you'll understand
when I'll have to let go
so in my hand I hold the key
cos what I really fear is me.

So I walk alone
finding the way home
on my own
cos the real danger
is not any stranger
but me
my heart and mind.
