Metal of Horror

By: Emma Garness

They say we're heroes.

I don't feel like Superman.

He can fly.

With one leg,

I'd be lucky to ever walk again.

He has the girl.

With one arm,

Hugging mine will never be the same.

He has dreams of helping the world.

I tried to,

Now all I have is nightmares of bombs and all the horror

They say we're heroes,

I rather have my life, then a metal around my neck.
