Fading lights are down to their last flicker
As open hearts take in their warmth
Smiles and calls, windows to fall
Feel the radiated warmth
The last gleam of memories
Holding on to now
Whose subconscious will they settle in?
Whose will they over look?
There’s a desire to keep holding on,
To stop dreaming,
And for it all to become a reality.
Yellow lights on grey cement,
Rippling waves on water’s edge
Smell the lust in the air,
The flowers everywhere
Hope it’s loved,
Hope everyone heard,
Because there will never
Be this endeavor again.
I’ve always been too far ahead
Always been too far ahead
But part of me still falls behind.
