A dark, fairly morbid poem I wrote a few years back. Inspired by the murder of a very close friend of mine.

In my dreams I see a girl

Who is never going to wake

Death becomes her

Dispose of the body

Throw away the sheets

I'll never forget the look on her face

She will cry your name in her sleep

Someone is sick of you

The touch of one cold blade

Piercing my flesh

Robbing me of the very existence I despise

It is an unfair sacrifice she cries

For it is not your time to die

She weeps such beautiful tears

Someone is sick of you

I hear a child cry out in the night

A cursed child

Be my escape, unleash the monster

Like a graveyard of memories

Human art is made with blood

To those with the blood of the innocent

Death gives such a tender kiss

How do I escape eternal misery

Someone is sick of you
