Come with me
To places unknown
Countries sketched on the globe
To where birds have flown

Come with me to forests that lie deep
Roots meandering to the core of the earth
Leaves that sway seductively
To where wild animals give birth

Come with me to lakes
And to waters crystal clear
Where the monsters guard with swords
Into evil hearts strike fear

Come with me to open fields
Where the sunflower maiden, Clytie, watches the sun
Following Apollo and his sun chariot
Till his journey in the sky is done

Come with me to rivers
Every coloured fish there you will find
Where an old fisherman stands hunched
Due to love, he is now blind

Come with me to sail the seas
To watch Arion and the dolphins play
Pirates we will encounter
With their souls they had to pay

Come with me to islands
To build dwellings with our hands
Wild berries will feed our hunger
Our bed will be the sands

Come with me to find the box
Wherein all the evils were kept
Let us see where Pandora and her lover
Lay on the ground and wept

Come with me to soar above
With Daedalus and his son
Molten wax still falls from the sky
The battle of flight was won

Come with me to the underworld
Where Pluto holds Prosperina’s hand
To where her mother weeps
In the barren, forgotten land

Come with me on a fairytale
On a story not yet told
Come with me, journey with me
Before times becomes too old
