your words of trust sustain me

and the ones that i love best
are rich and sweet
so good to eat
they leave you feeling blessed
just melting in your heart
with such a fascinating flavor
i need your chocolate promises
don't need vanilla wafers
its easy to tell falsehoods
but recalling them is hard
you pile up lies
and trusting dies
when one puts up their guard
the words that leave your lips
should have a taste that one can savor
i want your chocolate promises
don't want vanilla wafers
when you are in a union
there's a bond that draws you near
and closer yet
when there's a threat
of storms that may appear
the power of that bond
will make the atmosphere much safer
i love your chocolate promises
don't love vanilla wafers

Wonderfully mouthwatering piece. This is so full of truth while still being whimsical and fun. You really are the master of this, Moonphish! :)
