relationships are vessels

with no captains but two mates

there is no need to hoist a flag

the eye communicates

there's no one laying down the law
when teamwork designates
relationships are vessels
with no captain but two mates

relationships aren't puzzles
that have pieces yet unfound
when me and thee become a we
it forms a circle, round

inside we keep our friends and kin
while foes, upon, are frowned
relationships aren't puzzles
that have pieces yet unfound

relationships are living
and are fed well every day
they're wove of vibrant colors
not in dreary black or gray

be loving in the time you pass
before you pass away
relationships are living
and are fed well every day

relationships aren't card tricks
where you play and make believe
two open arms will tell you
there is nothing up one's sleeve

the eyes are crystal windows
to the soul that you perceive
relationships aren't card tricks
where you play and make believe
