yes, love can be a river
and the current keeps you steeled
and it makes your body quiver
at the mysteries revealed

what is lurking 'neath the river ?
will the rocks tear me apart ?
but these thoughts won't make me shiver
in my new glass bottom heart

when some go upon these waters
they prefer a sturdy keel
but in glass, i'll be delivered
so there's mysteries revealed

i'm a taker, not a giver
i'll no longer play that part
and i'll keep myself from slivers
in my new glass bottom heart

cause this glass is much more rigid
then the finest stainless steel
be the river warm or frigid
they'll be mysteries revealed

because love can make you livid
its a tricky path to chart
but the undergrowth is vivid
in my new glass bottom heart
