there's billions of us walking

on this planet we call earth
and our lives are undetermined
from the moment of our birth
.
most people choose the one
that's unintended for their mate
but blessed are the souls
that are arranged as God's blind date
.
the odds of mathematics
is a science, most divine
the vein of gold called love
is often lost inside the mine
.
most people get together
as pure chance, devoid of fate
but blessed are the souls
that are arranged as God's blind date
.
our bodies need nutrition
and the same goes for our hearts
but some settle and toss junk food
in their supermarket carts
.
most people end up chewing
what is served up on their plate
but blessed are the souls
that are arranged as God's blind date
.
we wander through the aisles
of the cathedral known as time
we shuffle through the years
into the future we all climb
.
most people choose too early
or more often, much too late
but blessed are the souls
that are arranged as God's blind date
