fifteenth inning...at one o'clock...as the play begins
sadly, the score is still...four to four
leaving, were fans who could take it no more
then the lead off man quickly triples...clutch hit...the fans all flip
quietly slipping off third, is he
slipping away, he doth flee
he...(gave us the thrill of our lives)
is stealing...(he made the run of his life)
home...(don't stop for anything...let your feet fly)
he's stealing home and the pitch is now thrown...as the patrons cheer

how we roar as this guy leaves third and proceeds on down
should have known better...but he's not scared
man on the mound flings the spheroid with care
the throw's sound...its nearing the catcher...wowee...the play is on
why would he try this so recklessly ?...is this guy out of his tree ?
he...(he's only out for himself)
is stealing...(just wants to win this himself)
home...(we wished so hard that the throw would sail by)
he's stealing home...with the outcome, unknown...but he'll fail, we fear

fifteenth inning...at one o' clock...as he makes his way
waiting, the catcher....a quick tag is made
fleeting, he ran...but his motor fades
he...(guess he knows now he was wrong)
is stealing...(everyone knew this was wrong)
home..(sure it was stupid but he had to try)
he tried to slide..but the tag was applied...as the patrons jeer
he's out at home...bye...bye
