the press of time has stilled for me

at last i've found my peace
your voice is like a psalm to me
all anxiousness has ceased
i'm wearing a protective shield
i'll weather any trial
i do not fear the fires of hell
when i can hear you smile

there is no fairer rhapsody
mere music only dims
the ripples when you laugh with me
more sacred than a hymn
i know complete, my destiny
and no one can defile
there's never any questioning
when i can hear you smile

the majesty of hurricanes
the warmth of summer breeze
the sanctity of peace ordained
when praying on one's knees
i feel the joy of total bliss
the wonder of a child
it feels just like the sweetest kiss
when i can hear you smile
