skeleton moon

hangs in the sky
tendrils of dead light
like seaweed
the earth below will weep
harvest lost
ragged scarecrow
eyes skyward
unanswered

skeleton moon
hangs in the sky
it's gravity is lost
suspended
the oceans feel no pull
tension lost
the sea beckons
questioning
unanswered
