the moon above has quite a pull

and man and tide aren't free
the face we glimpse is always full
but sometimes we can't see

and you are like the moon's soft glow
with phases running through
sometimes i see the whole tableau
sometimes a hidden view

above me you will tower
with your captivating grace
and pull me with the power
of your sweet enchanting face

and i admire the mystery
at least up to a point
i pray that you will come to me
and with your charms, anoint

though patience is a trial for me
i'll do the best i can
for i believe in fate, you see
and bow down to it's plan

i see up in the heavens high
a shiny crescent orb
and taking in all that i spy
i let the peace absorb

the moon above has quite a pull
and man and tide aren't free
the face we glimpse is always full
but sometimes we can't see
