your edges are perfection

how precisely you are mapped
your hands are folded neatly
while my knuckles just get rapped
you drift on fluid rivers
while in tempests, i am tossed
you're living in YOU - topia
while i'm an I - land, lost

your voice is like a symphony
which passages that swell
while mine is like the clunking
of a hollow wooden bell
i'm just an "I" that has no dot
a "T" that's never crossed
you're living in YOU - topia
while i'm an I - land, lost

you cause intoxication
of the effervescent kind
i look into your eyes
and the most pleasant things i find
i'm baffled most deliciously
i'd suffer any cost
you're living in YOU - topia
while i'm an I - land, lost

i see your face up in the sky
your name spelled out in stars
my heart is under lock and key
and trapped behind your bars
i chase but never capture you
my senses, you exhaust
you're living in YOU - topia
while i'm an I - land, lost
