Dear life,

I’ve been around quite a while,

I’m afraid it hasn’t really been worth all the while,

At least recently when you’ve become quite hostile.

Looks like very many are quite discontent,

It makes me wonder what they’ve underwent,

Or what justifies the need for such torment,

As they go through this journey not knowing what it represents;

Or thinking we’re still at the stage of “Survival of the Fittest”.

People think they’ve got you figured out,

But I think it’s just what they’d all prefer to lie about,

Since you manage to constantly dazzle everyone; that I know without a doubt.

It seems the hole you’ve been digging keeps getting deeper,

I think you’re at a point where no philosopher could ever reason,

Where challenging people’s faith can be the only causation;

Or simply an unjust method of limiting the population.

What I’m trying to say is, please try to reconsider,

Before even psychiatrists are unable to deliver,

Before there’s no soul left that isn’t disfigured.
