Status: Finished  |  Genre: Fantasy  |  House: Booksie Classic

just a one page story based upon two supernatural beings struggling with their love as well as own ideals of how to deal with good and evil.

I spot my target: a man wearing a tattered, wet Cossack and carrying a black Bible.  He probably thought since it was a rainy Christmas that God would let him off easy for the killing of a young woman outside her apartment.  God may indeed let him off, but I won’t.

A pitter patter of feet behind me and I smile.  I don’t even need to turn around to know who has come up behind me.  “Out breaking God’s decrees again?” a voice sings.

“Yes Lil…” I look up to see my love standing behind me, arms crossed.  She is wearing almost nothing; black fishnet stockings and black lipstick, her black wings folded.  “You are just obsessed with breaking the rules.  Angels are not supposed to interfere with how mortals live… God will deal out His own justice in time!”

“God works too slow…” I laugh.  “Besides… don’t complain about my obsession darling, because I’m obsessing over you right now…”

“Ah, you always have.  Ever since you killed yourself and went straight to Hell to find me and try to bring me back to Heaven.  So sweet… even though it didn’t work.”  She brushes her hair out of her eyes.  “Didn’t God forbid any love between the denizens of Heaven and Hell?  Didn’t He tell you to never seek me again?  That I was lost to Satan?  I’m surprised He hasn’t smited you yet… because isn’t God supposed to be ‘omniscient’?”

“No… What He doesn’t know doesn’t hurt.”  I smile and lean forward and kiss Lilith; her lips taste of cinnamon, my fingers caressing her bare skin.  So soft… so hot…  She pushes away, laughing.  “Mmm, that was nice.  But let’s wait until after the kill babe.  It will be so much better that way.”  She licks her lips and whispers, “By the way, love, I wasn’t complaining about your Hell bent actions.  Just commenting”

I smirk.  Being a succubus, Lilith has a tendency for bloodlust, which is why she comes whenever I go on these little hunts.  We both spread our wings and jump off the roof, descending down upon our prey.  I don't think the priest even believed his eyes when he saw the wings, the light... and then felt the pain.  Who said angels don’t kill?
