Today I woke feeling surprisingly refreshed. The air felt different, and the breeze was calming. I listened to the ambient sound around me. I quickly came to the realization that I was not in my house. The air- this place, The sounds, It was incredibly peaceful. I walked around the area to see if I was truly alone. As I walked I came across fields, streams, and patches of trees. It became apparent that there was nobody. After walking so many miles I stopped by an oak tree. There was a stream running nearby so I decided to visit to burn some time. Eventually I drifted asleep on a patch of soft grass. Suddenly I woke in a cold sweat, It’s night… I laid down and stared into the sky, watching the stars to calm down. A bush nearby rustled giving me the spooks, Nervous I yelled “hello?”. No answer. I yelled out again, “hello?”.

Becoming more nervous I went to the oak tree and climbed to a secure branch. Chilling seconds passed as the moment became more suspenseful. A very faint “hello” broke the silence causing me to pause completely. After a solid second I jumped down to investigate further, “Are you lost?” I walked closer to the bush to see the person.

“Yes, I woke up here confused”, A feminine figure rose in the darkness. I started to move closer, “I also awoke here, How strange…”. She moved towards me trying to get a better look, “look a little nervous?”, squinting with little light the moon gave.
I sat down, I thought you were some sort of predator, How could I not be a little nervous”. She sat down next to me, “how funny”. An ever growing tiredness grew between the both of us. I looked up to the stars and let a smile grow. She laid onto the ground, I followed and layed next to her. She turned to me, “It is a bit cold out.”. Before I could respond she turned fully to face me and she buried herself into my chest. I looked off into the sky, watching the moon.
