Childhood memories made up of
Playing games
Eating sweets
Fishing in the lake
Skipping ropes
Baby dolls
Scared in the dark
Afraid of the night
Cascading tears like a flood
Mum’s never there…
Dad always is…
Cuddles from dad
Funny wet kisses
Knowing
That something is wrong
Hiding in corners
Nowhere to turn
Where has my childhood gone ?
