I see them mincing on their cloven feet

a fly hovers on the cheek like an off-beat wink. You blink like a doll as if i tipped your head back

and your eyelids slipped with a tic-tic

and your shoes make a noise like tic-tic-tack.

Your illusions cracked with the flash of a fist from the blue-black like a fracture

and you. Fall. Back. With a kiss and a nick on the wrist

cigarette butts in rigor mortis- tell me you  miss. This. Shit

My phone vibrates at exactly the right pitch to blow out the windows and the wind blows right through me.

You yell and you want to piss.

Your head hits the wall with a sickening crack, you taste blood in your mouth and it all goes black

and your teeth make a noise like tic-tic

and your bones make a noise like tic-tic-tack

then you fall back

into this

and you're speaking now through these broken lips

whybotherwhyherewhymewhynow and you can't shout but the world's so loud

you're so fucked but the words won't. Come. Out
