The Snipplers come in shorts

Snipping and eating all those dorks.

They live in tree crowns

And make soft, slick sounds.

Snipplers run silent and alone

While stripping you to the bone.

Wide, narrow, short or tall

Skin, scales, nails or claws

No one knows a Snippler's true shape

Only to leave behind some bait.

Snipplers move faster than most can see

But I hear most of them look like you and me.

Do not worry unless you are a snob

Because than they will butter you like corn cob.

They say a nice, fat hollowed fake

Is best with marshmallows when baked.

But ummm...I would not know.

And even if I did, I will not show.
