Shadows, shadows all around me.

Always in the shadows of my family,

The distance, sometimes overwhelming,

Every cherry picked from my tree..

One by one I regrow, yet another one gets picked.

Withered tree, growing from my foundation,

My branches, break from seperation.

Well feeling the weather, look at the time,

I must replant now, I must regrow,

My mountain made of sugar has been used,

This mountain I climbed up so many years,

Stumble and fall, over again, it must be moved.

A peaceful amble can only last a few minutes,

Hurricanes come to destroy the growth,

My foundation must relocate, my foundation must be faith,

You reap what you sow, and in all of this I do know,

One day this plant will sprout, until then I have little doubt,

When the winds try to knock me down,

I will be okay, because I am on solid ground.
