I say PG because of the blood, mild language, and slight sensuality. Really I would have liked it to be PG-13, but eh. Hope you like it, it's just a love story about Ghirahim. I wrote it in celebration for the upcomming game Skyward Sword. Stay fabulous, Debbie fans~

Ghirahim's POV~

I licked my lips victoriously. There she was, plummeting down to the surface world from the sky. However, now was not the time for bloodshed. I had to catch her, somehow. She was, perhaps, a hundred feet above the ground before I teleported her back to my fortress. I soon joined her. Zelda was now in our hands.
Or so I thought. I took one good look at her, and realized she wasn't Zelda. Zelda, for instance, was blonde. This girl had striking blood red hair.
"Dammit," I muttered, frustrated. What was I supposed to do with her, exactly? I didn't need a useless prisoner. However, if I let her go back to Skyloft, and word got back to Zelda, or anyone that may try to defend her...
It would certainly cause problems.

I gazed at her, almost intently. She had fallen unconsious, most likely due to fear of hitting the ground. I picked her up and gently placed her on my bed. I wasn't quite sure what urged me to do so, perhaps instinctive politeness? But that wasn't like me at all.
I couldn't seem to take my eyes off of her. She was, to say the least, beautiful. I'd never seen such a stunning color of hair. Nor have I ever seen such pure, white skin. I myself am rather pale, but my skin is shaded, almost to a gray color. Her skin, however, was as white as snow.

Needless to say, I felt... odd with her near me.

Her eyes darted open once she regained conciousness. They were a bright, icy blue, that only made her more beautiful. She stared at me intently, and cautiously. However, I could sense no fear from her. I had little to no experiance with women, but with the past experiance I did have, I wasn't used to this. Most women would look at me in fear or disgust, but the only thing I could sense from her was curiousity, and something else... I couldn't quite pinpoint what it was. Admiration, maybe?

Berit's POV~

The last thing I could remember, was being caught in a tornado, and then plummeting down towards the surface world. And now, I was waking up in a rather comfortable bed, with a rather handsome man staring at me? Major confusion. Was I being held captive, or was I saved? It was hard to tell which. I stared at the man curiously, but keeping my guard up, just in case I was indeed being held captive. What if I couldn't trust him?

He had hair similar to mine, but only as far as the fringe. His hair was white and much shorter than mine. I noticed he had pale, grayish skin, and one ear pointed, the other round. I hadn't seen something like that before. But then again, I had never been on the surface world, so I wasn't sure what to expect.
I felt a tad bit uneasy around him, but not in the 'he's going to try and kill me, better avoid him' way. This was a totally different feeling. Something that I had never felt before.
He smirked a bit, and licked his lips. "Hmm, you couldn't be her, her beauty cannot compare to yours," he said, almost a bit arrogently, but it was oddly alluring to me. I blushed a bit. Beauty? That was something I didn't have. Or at least, I didn't think I did.

His gloved hand moved close to my face, and I moved away slightly, a bit uncomfortable with it. He tilted his head in confusion, and looked almost hurt.

"I'm not going to hurt you," he mumbled.

I felt a bit bad, perhaps he thought I was accusing him of being some sort of sadistic murderer, or a weird sexual deviant. So far, he hadn't come off as either. But I merely shook it off.
"Did you... save me from that fall?" I asked.
"You could say that, yes." He shrugged. "I'm... sure you wish to return to the skies, where you came from. I'll send you back..."

I felt lighter, like I was floating. Then, I looked down at my body, to see that I was disappearing. I looked at his face and saw traces of reluctance and sorrow. "Wait..." I whispered, but by the time the word was out, I was back in Skyloft, my bird next to me, unharmed. Who was he?

Ghirahim's POV~

Why had I been so reluctant for her to leave? And if I wanted her with me, why didn't I just keep her? She was definately having a weird effect on me, I didn't understand it at all. I didn't even learn her name... Oh well. It was time to get back to my main priority, which was capturing Zelda.

**Three days later**

Link's POV~

Flying with Zelda... wow. I felt so alive. And she was gorgeous. I always wanted to fly with her like this, to get her alone. I care for her, a lot. I caught myself staring at her, and she was staring back, giggling.

I blushed and looked ahead, seeing dark storm clouds just ahead of us. Uhm, what? It was sunny and beautiful just a minute ago, what happened? The wind was picking up quickly, and I could see that our birds were scared, losing control.

Zelda fell off of her bird, down towards the surface world.
"No!" I yelled, reaching for her, attempting to save her. My bird dived down, to get me closer to her. I saw a whale coming out of the clouds. The servant of the goddess...?

In any case, it saved her, which put me at ease, for a little while. But my bird, I had lost control of it completely, and fell off. By now the whale was gone, and I was falling headfirst towars the surface world. I was going to die...

Berit's POV~

I saw it all. The whale, the tornado, everything. I saw a spirit that saved Link. I saw that Zelda was taken to the Sky Temple. I followed, wondering what awaited me. That tornado was so similar to the one that knocked me out of the sky, the same day that I met...
Ha, I didn't know his name. But I couldn't get him out of my head. That tornado, could it have been conjured by him? I suppose the only reason I headed for the Sky Temple, is because I wanted to see if he was there. I had already landed, and explored through a good majority of the temple. Throughout my wandering, I felt like I was being followed.

Ghirahim's POV~

That girl. She was there too. I had been following her through the temple, waiting to see if she would reveal her purpose for being there.

She drew her sword.
"Whoever you are, I know you're following me," she called.

Damn, she was good.

And perhaps now was the only chance I had to get close to her. I calmly got behind her and placed my hands gently on her hips. I could feel her jump a little out of surprise, but she didn't pull away.

"It's just me," I said. I suppose she could recognize my voice, because it seemed she knew who I was the minute I said it.
"You," she whispered. "What is your name?"
"Lord Ghirahim," I whispered softly into her ear, licking my lips a bit. "And you?"

I felt her shaking a bit, perhaps nervously. "Berit," she muttered. Berit. Wow, a lovely name, in my opinion.
"Berit, huh..." I licked her neck, feeling her shiver more. Sweet. She tasted very sweet. I extended my tongue along her collorbone, up to her cheek. She sighed slightly. Out of pleasure? No, that couldn't be it...

Berit's POV~

He was toying with me. But I couldn't stop him. Well, that's a lie. I could have, if I wanted to. The weird thing is, I didn't. I found myself enjoying this. Most may have though his abnormally long tongue was disturbing, but I found it oddly attractive.
"Hmm, I'm done teasing you... for now," he said. I could feel him smirking against my neck, his hands rubbing my hips almost seductively. "Hope to see you again... Berit."
And then, he disappeared. I heard a door open and close, and turned around to see Link.
"Link?!" I was shocked to see him here. But then I remembered, Zelda was somewhere in this temple. I happened to know that Link was in love with her, so it was expected for him to have come to her rescue.
"Berit! What are you doing here? And..." He paused. "Why are you so... out of breath?"
Heh. He noticed, huh. Lord Ghirahim had left me a bit breathless. "I, ahh..." I pillaged my mind for an excuse. "I just fought off some beasts. You're welcome. And I'm here for the same reason as you are."
Link tilted his head. "I see. Well, what would you say we should do about this?"
"I say we split up. Search the temple on our own, then go to the entrance if we find her."
"Sounds like a plan. See you later, then."

Link's POV~

I left Berit and went on to search for Zelda. I had already found a key to the room at the very end of the temple. However, I didn't tell her that. Something was bugging her, I could tell. It was best if I just left her alone. I happen to know how she isolates herself when she's troubled.

I headed for the last room, keeping my guard up, not knowing what to expect.
I entered a large room with a door at the end, perhaps where Zelda was being held. I ran towards it without hesitation. But then, a man appeared, right between me and the door.
"Look who it is..." he muttered. "I thought that tornado I stirred up would have torn you apart, yet here you are. Not that your life or death has any consequence. It's just the girl that matters now, and I can sense her here... just beyond this door."
I growled at him protectively, having no intentions of letting him touch Zelda.

He smirked. "Yes, we plucked her holiness from her perch in the clouds, and now she's ours... Oh, but listen to me. I've forgotten my manners. Allow me to introduce myself. I am the demon who presides over this land you look down upon... The surface. You may call me Ghirahim. In truth, I actually prefer to be indulged with my full title: Lord Girahim."
I drew my sword, angrier than I had ever been. He just chuckled.
"Did you really just draw your sword? Foolish boy. By all rights, the girl should have fallen into our hands already. She was nearly ours when that loathsome servant of the goddess snatched her away. Do you have any idea how that made me feel inside?"

He paused, and looked at me. "Furious! Outraged! Sick with anger!" He disappeared.
"... Still, it hardly seems fair, taking all of my anger out on you" I jumped, hearing him from behind me. "Which is why," he continued, "I promise up front not to murder you... No, I'll just beat you within and inch of your life!"

Berit's POV~

I saw the final door of the temple was already unlocked. Perhaps Link is in there? Maybe he needs my help. I opened the door, to see Link and Lord Ghirahim both cut up and panting.

"Well..." Lord Ghirahim panted, "You put up more of a fight than I though possible out of a soft boy like you. But don't clap for yourself yet... that sword of yours is the only reason you still live. "
"I'm not done with you!" Link growled and charged at him, viciously attacking him, finally knocking him down. He was about to stab him, and I panicked. I got in the way just in time, getting stabbed in the stomach.

"BERIT!" They both cried. Link pulled his sword out of my abdomen and I lost balance, falling unconsious.

Ghirahim's POV~

I stood up and caught Berit in my arms, using my hand to cover her wound and reduce bleeding. I glared at the boy and teleported Berit and me back to my fortress. At this point I was covered in her blood, panicking, trying to find anything that could heal her. Why did she save me? Her breathing was slower now, she was getting very weak. Fairy tears. That's what I needed. I found a bottle on my shelf, and knelt down beside her to pour the liquid into her mouth, then I tilted her chin upwards to get it down her throat. Her wounds healed almost instantly, and I relaxed a bit, realizing how worn out I was from the fight with that kid.

I picked Berit up and staggered over to my bed, laying her down on it (as I could imagine she was still very weak), and gently layed my cape over her to keep her warm. Then I collapsed beside her, exhausted, falling unconcious myself. The minute before I was out cold, I finally realized that Zelda didn't matter to me anymore. All that mattered was keeping Berit alive. I could tell by now, there was no doubt that I had feelings for her. There was no way to stop myself from falling in love with her.

Berit's POV~

I woke up in a room that was familiar to me, with a familiar looking cape sprawled out over me, keeping me warm. I looked next to me and saw Lord Ghirahim sleeping peacefully at my side. He was alive, thank the goddess. Question was, how was I still alive? Link stabbed me, and yet I was completely unharmed. I had blood on me, and there was an obvious tear in my dress where I was stabbed, but no wound.

By now I had definately fallen for him, that was the only explanation I had for jumping in front of him and taking Link's sword for him. I didn't care at all that he was supposed to be my enemy.
I gently stroked his cheek, realizing he was covered in a lot of blood.
My blood.
He must have saved me, perhaps he used some type of potion.
Quetion is, why?
He groaned a little and opened his eyes.
"You're awake?" We asked eachother, almost in perfect unison.
I blushed, realizing my hand was still placed on his cheek, and pulled it away quickly. He grabbed it, and put it right back on his cheek, closing his eyes, sighing quietly.

"I almost lost you..." He muttered, almost in a whimpering tone. "Why did you have to get in the way, you could have died..."

"I... ahh..." I blushed more, hiding my face. "Isn't that something you would have wanted? You must have seen that I'm friends with that boy, I'm supposed to be your enemy..."
He squeezed my hand. "Don't you dare say that! I..."

I looked at him curiously. "You... what?"

He sighed once more. "I've fallen for you, Berit. Ever since you fell from the clouds and into my care."

I had no words. I just stared at him. I suppose he took that as a rejection, because he just hid his face in some form of anguish. I crawled closer to him and curled my body up next to his. He gave me a surprised look and wrapped his arms around me tight, protectively.
"I've fallen for you too, Lord Ghirahim..." I whispered.
He smiled and stroked my hair.
"You need not be so formal with me, my dear. You may call my Ghirahim." He kissed my forehead and I sighed happily. Then we realized, we were both still covered in a lot of dried blood, which miraculously didn't get on his bed or cape at all.
"Heh," he chuckled, "seems we need different clothes. Wait here." He got up and left the room for a minute, and came back wearing nothing but tight black pants, with a black silk robe in his hand. He handed it to me and smiled.
"Thanks," I said, not bothering to leave the room or cover myself to change into it.
He smirked. "God hell Berit, I know I've said this before, but your beauty surpasses that of her holiness."

I blushed and he just chuckled and kissed me gently on the lips. Which, by the way, made me blush even more. I kissed him back rather nervously, and he licked my lips. I parted my lips a little to let him in, earning a soft, husky moan from him. I moaned myself quietly, feeling his tongue run across mine. Then we pulled away, shyly. He held me against his chest.
"You're mine now," he whispered. "No one else's."
I giggled. "Yes, I am."

"And I'll protect you..." He kissed me again. We heard a sound from outside his room, and the first thing I thought was 'Ugh, Link? No way.' Ghirahim held me closer to him as my thoughts were confirmed, and Link bursted into the room. He took one good look at us and just stared, confused. Ghirahim glared at him fiercely.

Ghirahim's POV~
I growled at the boy furiously. "She's mine now, got it kid?! Zelda doesn't matter anymore, at least not to me. So take her and get back to the clouds where you came from!"
Berit pulled out of my grasp. "Link," she said quietly, "just take Zelda and go. I'm staying here, no matter how hard you try to get me to go with you."
The boy glared at me, then looked to her. "Oh?" he retorted. "And what is everyone going to think when they find out you're missing? You're coming with me!"
"Hah, no, I'm not. I'm dead, and so is Ghirahim. I fought him down here at the surface world after he kidnapped me, he stabbed me, and I set off an explosion, killing us both. Got it?" She threw the torn, bloody, black dress she was wearing when she was stabbed at him, as some sort of token proving she was dead.

Damn. Clever girl. The kid just caught it and stared at her, shocked and confused.

"Why...?" he asked.

"You'd do the same for Zelda," she muttered back. Her words seemed to have a major effect on the boy, because he said nothing else as he walked out. I placed my hands gently on her hips and kissed her cheek from behind.
"That was genius, Berit..." I whispered in her ear. She looked back and smiled at me.

"Why, thank you," she said cheerfully. I led her back to my bed. I could tell by the darkness of the sky out my window that it was late. I layed down with her and wrapped her up in my cape, and held her tight. Right before I fell asleep, I whispered "I love you". The second the words were out, I was slipping into the world of slumber, but I could have sworn I heard her say:
"I love you too."
