Listen to this tale
i shall tell
you puerile boys
and puerile girls.
For i have stolen Aesops pen
and am now the teller of morals.

You see it in a Rose
beauty incarnate
pick it up
what do you get
a prick
blood drips.
it hid
a danger
a darkness

You feel it in a kiss
such pleasure
those lips that hide
the lie within
the lie called Love.

Nighttime has hidden deep within
it all the monsters of childhood
the boogeyman, the ghoul.

Daylight has its own darkness.
the more mundane horrers.
Rapists, Wifebeaters, Genocidal madmen.

So little children
do you understand?
That every beauty has hidden
deep within
something dark
something evil
every beauty has a darkness.
