My biggest mistake was thinking you cared,

I bleed red in search of your love.

I gave you every bit of me,

the brown in my eyes which admired only your beauty,

my heart which has never stopped beating for you even after I saw you shelted in his arms,

my tears filled the palm of my hands as I kneeled down onto my knees wishing Earth could just stop spinning while gravity sucks me in.

Is this how love feels, emotions drained through pain and suffering,

continuously dreaming of a better you that doesn't exist,

my biggest mistake was thinking you would be there at the end of the tunnel.

Where is the happiness you promised me,

the chocolates you offered me and short skirts you wore to lure me in to your deception,

was it all just for show, did you have a big laugh about it while I sobbed in despair.

My biggest mistake was believing you loved me..

My biggest mistake is writing poems, singing songs and still acting out my love for you despite all you have done to me..

my biggest mistake is I still believe I'm the one for you..

My biggest mistake is that I don't learn from my mistakes
