Books of yours, scattered about the house
Reminders of all your dead dreams
Things you couldn't accomplish
Places you'll never see
Promises you'll never fufill
People you'll never meet

Wishes you made upon a star
Hopes for better things
Thrown all away
So you could use your syringe
Injecting, get your fix
Go on, I dare you,
TRY TO LOVE ME

You say you can quit at any time,
And it lets you view the world in different ways
I say I'm dying inside, and still waiting for you to notice
My world is tearing at the fray
You say tomorrow will be better
But what about today?
