It's funny how the things you trust always turn on you.

A book of possibilities
Laid out before me
A head full of regrets
"This could be.."
Let's just not forget
You were once apart of me

Enchanting, cynical
Lacking what I need
Exasperating, physical
You never did believe
That I could be...

The taste that lingers
A bullet for my brain
Your voice that triggers
My emotional drain
The sun comes out
So I can seek shelter from the pain
The time has come
That I push you away

The clouded skies match my hideous eyes
Despite the forecast for sunshine
It's on my palm
It's in the cards
Ripped to pieces
Run from the shards
Of the murder scene you left behind

Let it rain
Soak me,
Drench me
In your unseen love
Predicted, and ever failing
The air which carries your scent suffocates me
You were my possibility
The weather man has lied to me.
