“In the end, things turn out just a little to neatly to ring entirely true” Do you agree or disagree?

This statement is correct because nothing in life ever really ends. If it does it’s not packed up neatly with a bow. This movie was made in a very average Hollywood style; Cinderella stories are unlikely to be true. Many things in this movie scream Hollywood for example: Emma shaking Julius’s hand during the game, Dancing onto the football field, Yoast asks Boone for help with his football plays, Boone asks Yoast for help with his football plays, Clapping when Gerry’s mum walks in at the final football game and Looy Lastic telling Boone moments before the game that he got into collage.

When Emma shakes Julius’s had during the final football game its shows her taking the steps to move forward from racism, because she had refused to shake his hand earlier in the movie. Although it got the message across it didn’t do it in a very realistic way. Emma would not walk onto the field from the bleaches; walk over to the bench just to shake his hand. Especially because she would not be allowed to. Halfway through the film to show unity they dance into the football field. They do this because the music shows them working together. They then do this to again before the final game. They do this to show unity but if you look at it realistically, they wouldn’t dance onto the football field instead of warming up. Especially with it being there final game

The fact that both coaches ask each other for help in the final game is a little too neat and convenient. Coach Boone had refused to use Yoast’s trick plays in the beginning of the film and Coach Yoast had refused help from Boone. In the last game he is being beaten by the other coach and asks coach Yoast to run one of his trick plays. In the same game Yoast is also being beaten but refuses to ask Boone for help. During half time Sheryl Yoast Coach Yoast’s daughter comes up to him and tells him that this is no time to be a hero. She also says that he’s getting beat out there just ask the man for help.  Yoast asks Boone for help with his football and they end up winning the game. It’s all just a little bit too neat to be true.

The fact that everybody stands up and cheers for the mother of an injured player is a little to sweet to be true. At the final game for the titans Gerry’s mum had come to see the game. When she enters the stadium everyone, one at a time stands up and starts clapping to show understanding for her pain. This was after her son Gerry’s car crash which left him paralysed from the waist down. This is unrealistic because not everyone would actually do that and it just screams fake. Unless they had rehearsed it many times the randomness of people standing up and doing one at a time is to well scripted to be true.

The fact that someone finds out that they passed right before the final game is to well timed to be accurate. Moments before their final game Louie Lastic tells Coach Boone that his S.A.T grade was high enough, and he’s gotten into college. After Boone finds that out he and Louie share a big bear hug and Louie starts tearing up. Something like that is best left for after that game or immediately after he found out not seconds before their final game. He should be warming up or stretching not hugging his coach and telling him he got into college. Louie telling Boone that he passed right before the final game is way to well timed to ever really happen.

You have seen just four of the main points in this movie that are way to Disney to be completely accurate. Although the movie got the desired message across, it didn’t always do it in the most realistic way possible. This movie is based on a true story but to make the movie more interesting and to make it flow more easily, Disney has put in some of their own scenes to make it more dramatic. Unfortunately this does mean that it isn’t always true or even believable from a real world perspective.
