The pain of separation is the toughest pain to handle. The author sits and reminisces the past which was once beautiful, but the unfortunate departure of his loved one has taken all happiness out of his life.

What a fool I was to have a dream

Now I see how stupid it may seem

Why did you have to leave me alone?

I’m just an ice-cream without my cone

U said you’d be there forever

Promising every breath together

What then, was your reason this time?

My poems are all sad and they don’t rhyme

Remember if you can the days we had

When presence was good and distances were bad

Where did you disappear in a blink of an eye?
I ain’t so strong that I won’t cry

How I sung for you day and night

When you sat depressed after a fight

Where are you now when I’m in dark?

I have to sit all alone in the park

Voices call out your name in my ears

Your distance is all that my heart fears

Why didn’t you think before shutting the door?

My heart still feels your essence to the core

How special you are to me, you don’t know

Each moment without you, I feel so low

Why did you have to leave without a good-bye?

Now all I can do is sit back and sigh

I guess it’s too late for the apologies now

Far behind are the questions like why and how

You’ve chosen the road you wanted to walk on

The memories of our journey are now all gone

But the fangs of time still hurt my scar

You’re so close to me and yet so far

What else, my love, did you want me to do?

I let go of everything just to be with you….
