It was an hour before the dusk ,when I was returning home.
I saw in my way an old house like any old house but this one
Piqued my curiosity that I stopped . And looked .
It looked like an old custom thrown away..
I felt it was so aching to my heart so I went
Just to look ,closer but cautiously I looked
Through a window that was swinging on a single rusty hinge.
Still I let my eyes feast more on
Stale crumbs of portraits, pale walls where old songs ,sighs and children cries
Are hidden.
Forgotten romantic moments where some lovers were sitting.
All hidden in such an area ..
Did they travel? Or depart?
They left a yard but the roses whithered away..
Overgrown with wild nettles the porch looked as if to say
To me to move to move away.!
I felt the evening chill
And looked at the sky ,blue and still..
Towards home I urged my feet
To seek warmth to take a rest

still in my heart there is an ache..
