Cherryish

(Cherish)

A Cherry I see.

She’s different this one, this Cherry to me.

We came to each other, under a tree.

Cherry and me together you see, we have each other indefinitely.

Six years have past and Cherry remains, sweet and perfect;

Ripe and Red as the day I first laid eyes on her,

I need this Cherry; Cherry needs me,

We are one, but two, we might even become three…

If this Cherry were to go, surely I would follow;

For this Cherry is my pit and without her I am hollow.

A few weeks have passed since Cherry fell…

Cherry, a simple fruit for some, but a lifetime of heartache for one.

I was going to be with Cherry till death do us part.

But Cherry had fallen, taking my heart.

 An empty branch line now in sight,

I know she is fine, up there on cloud nine.

I watched her fall this Cherry of mine,

I could do nothing but watch as her soul left mine.

So like this Cherry I loved so dear;

I too fell within the same year,

For the Cherry that had fallen was one of a kind,

She was not just a Cherry,

 She was mine.
