i) Those who hesitate are like thin reeds in the wind
Having given themselves over to emotion.
Only through emersion in logic,
Can one become like a stout tree, deeply rooted.
ii) The logic of the wise will bring them wholeness
It will lead them to prosperity.
But those who indulge in emotional banter
It will leave them impoverished.
iii) A gentle reasoned answer turns away anger
But words filled with emotion will bring wrath.
Emotional talk will bring pain to the mind
But the words from a rational mind will only bring peace.
iv) Those who do not follow the ways of the wise face ruin,
Those that are guided by reason follow the path and will inherit wisdom.
For the wise the path will be lit brightly
But for the foolish it will be as dark as a moonless night.
v) Those that bring falsehood against another
Bring only suffering to themselves and shame to their clan
For they have abandoned the path of wisdom
And have chosen to swim in the sea of emotion.
