I did not mean to betray,

Once happy, now not okay.

I dreamed no sorrows,

Of endless tomorrows,

It was meant to be you and me,

But your heart would never decree.

Now I am leaving and you are hurt.

I may find an oasis, or a desert.

Unless you want me, forever lost I am,

Wandering without will, giving not a damn.

I tend to forget, I never remember,

Between you and I there is no ember.

It has been years now since I left,

We are lonely, sad, and bereft,

I killed your spirit and you did my heart.

You never wanted to begin, so I did part,

Now you regret it, in many things so do I.

You are down there as I watch from high.

Your memories of me will never fade,

They pain you and for it I've paid.

All I want is you and now you understand.

From your life I never wanted to be banned,

But you pushed me away from you.

What have you put yourself though?

I try to forget then I remember.

Between us, there was no ember,

Nor fire, but there was a spark,

Far deep down in the deep dark.

It is only you I want, only you I love,

Even here among the stars above.
