Rescue

“HA HA HA you’re stuck here forever now. You know that right?” it directed toward the traveler bleeding and breathing heavily. They were in a dull endless area of gray flat earth that had nothing in sight. Lighting crackled overhead from a gray stormy sky that illuminated the creature that spoke.

Towering over the traveler the creature had long arms twice the length of the travels with joints in a reverse manner to a human. Coming out of the creatures hands protruded long metallic looking claws that shimmered in the fair lighting .Tall and muscular was this creature it downed a smooth featureless mask that covered the entire head except for a long deep crack that ran from the bottom of the right ear to the top of the left ear. Draped in nothing but dirty looking rags around its waist and scars running criss cross about its muscular chest. The creature lurched forward swinging its long fingered claws at the traveler.

By jumping forward into a tuck and roll the traveler was able to slip underneath the creatures attack.  Coming out of the roll the traveler cocked his arm back to land an open palm thrust that erupted into sparks on making contact to the creature’s side.  Sparks continued to shower from the travelers hand to only turn into a thunderous explosion sending the traveler stumbling backwards. Leaving a charred gaping hole in the side of the creature it spun around bring the back of its hand heavily into the traveler’s side lifting him off his feet and into the air.

Soaring through the air the traveler land and continue to roll for a couple yards from the hit before he push of the ground with his good arm sending him into an upward somersault. Still flipping into the air the creature didn’t let up, for being so badly wounded, and was already sprinting towards him claws spread wide and low to the ground. Coming out of the somersault the traveler was able to land on his feet and continued with the momentum from the hit into a high jump just in time for the creature to swing both its arms. With what sounded like a clash of swords as the creature caught only air, the traveler seemed to float in the air for a moment before landing on his back clutching onto his hand. Angry that it had missed it continued its assault cocking back its arms and letting loose with a thrust claws pointed towards the traveler. Before the strike connected the traveler braced his feet to the ground and pushed off sending him into a backwards roll. Missing him by mere inches the creature let out a low growl of anger at the quick human. Coming out of the roll on to his feet he quickly stepped forward smashing his foot down on the creature’s claws that were impeded into the ground. Howling in pain the creature reeled back trying to free its arms but to no relief. It tried to kick at the traveler but he had already moved around the creatures kick. Going underneath the creature’s arms the traveler made his way to it single supporting foot and kicked it sending the creature falling onto its back. Landing on its back it howled again as its wrist broke due to its fingers still imbedded into the ground. It started to squirm but before it could get up the traveler had placed his hand on the creatures mask. The creature froze for only a moment before it howled in defiance as sparks showered out of the traveler’s hand quickly turning into a massive explosion making the creature go limp.

Yet again the traveler was sent stumbling back from the explosion but this time the creature did not move.  Turning around to inspecting his hand, now completely charred black, he grimaced in disgust. While keeping his injured hand out he inspected his body were the creature had hit him. Five broken ribs and a punctured lung not to bad if I think about it. Letting out a breath a small yellow star formed in the palm of his injured hand making the burned damaged flesh fall away replaced by fresh healthy looking skin. Bringing the star to his side he pressed in and could feel his ribs fuse back together along with the rib in his lung setting back into it original location. With his ribs fixed he focused now on his punctured lung willing the flesh to stitch back together allowing him to talk a full breath again.

“So how do you feel?”  He asked the creature while turning around. Though what he saw was not what he expected. What through him off the most was that he expected to see a half naked man not a half naked woman sitting before him. Considerably smaller then the creature he just fought sat a small girl before him having arms that had shrunken down to a normal length with the same criss cross pattern across her bare bosom.

She was rather beautiful. She had long silver hair that went down her hour glass figure. A small nose and mouth decorated her face and instead of a pair of completely red eyes she had a slightly smaller extra pair of red eyes resting above her brow.

“Thank you, thank you, thank you.” Suddenly crying uncontrollably while tears and snot mixing together. Standing up and having the last bit of clothes fall off of her she rushed to the traveler embracing him while continuing to thank him. Only a few inches shorter than the traveler she squeezed him with a surprising amount of strength for how small she was. Pulling out an arm the traveler patted her on the head blushing considerably he gave a quick reply.

“Yes, yes, yes you are quite welcome but I really need you to put on some clothes.” Letting go she stepped back only to have the traveler blush an even deeper shade of red. Confusion crossed her face as the traveler turned his head to look away when she finally noticed she was standing fully naked in front of him. She tried to cover herself up with her hand and frantically looked around to retrieve her rags. Hurriedly wrapping her rags on her, and making sure nothing was showing, she turned back around to look at the traveler with a flushed red face of her own. Noticing that she was somewhat fully clothed the traveler made his way past her to the shards of broken mask. Unable to keep quiet any longer the girl asked the traveler a question.

“So what’s your name? Mines I’isha.” She asked toward the traveler.

“The names Stalker, nice to meet you I’isha.” He responded. “Do you know where you are right now?” I’isha blinked a couple times before her eyes went wide.

“I’m, I, this is the lost plain right.” She said while looking around.

“Yup it sure is and do you know how you got here?” Stalker said while bending over to pick up the pieces of the mask. I’isha was now looking at the mask in disgust.

“Yes, I got cursed by that mask. I was made to fight and kill because of it until someone banished me to this plain.

“I was hoping you would say that.” Standing back up with the pieces in hand the traveler turned to the girl. I’isha was now looking at Stalker with a rather hurt expression on her face. “Oh no I don’t mean that you hurting a lot of people is a good thing. I’m talking about how you got here is what makes me happy.” Stalker explained while a purple light started to emit from the broken pieces. I’isha stared at the pieces with curiosity as they slowly started to disappear.

“Why do you need the mask?” she asked.

“Well the mask is kind of an anchor to our world so what I am doing is using that to get us back home.” Stalker explained as the last bit of the mask disappeared.

Though the mask was gone the light continued to shine and slowly started to envelope the traveler.

“Why are you here?” she asked as the light had completely enveloped the traveler’s body. He extended a hand toward the girl that stood before him and smiled.

“I came here to bring you home. So I’isha, are you ready to go?” A smile went across her face and tears started flow freely again. She reached forward an took the travelers hand.

“Please take me home.”
