Here's to you, father.

Girl's are discovered in fields of flowers,

A hero who towers over them with a warm smile,

For a while, fighting away all of her fears,

Tears never run down her face, but when they do..

He always guilds her through.

These precious days come and go,

She loves him more than he'll ever know.

As a father, a friend, a mentor,

Never once showing his temper,

...Until she becomes his tempter.

The day comes when she's all alone,

And the man she once called hero becomes the man she fears.

Her once small body, tiny smile,

Grew into a gorgeous woman,

Suddenly he wants to defile.

The man who once dried her tears,

Is now the one who causes them to fall,

She's never felt so small..

He forces her to dance as she once did as a child,

Beautiful, wild,

But this time there are no fields,

No flowers, no man towering over her to protect her,

"Please, daddy", once an innocent question,

Now a beg for him to stop,

Touching and feeling, until he grabs her top,

No more safety, no more daddy,

Only a hero who's become a villian.

You were once my rock, my shield,

You were the man who watched me dance in the field,

But I don't know you anymore,

My innocence you tore away,

Forgive me if I no longer want to stay,

As I lay here, wishing for my childhood,

I know I could never get it back,

As I could never get you off my back..

I choked on my tears for far too long,

You never admit you were wrong,

I try to get away from you, I do,

But you won't go away,

Apart of me you stay..

You made me, blood of my blood,

Flesh of my flesh,

Yet you left me faced down in the mud,

Alone and cold,

I wish I died along time ago,

I'd rather face death than the memories of you,

You are no hero, just the Devil in the open,

Just a Devil that wanted to rope in my trust,

Too much evil to confront your lust..

You ran away to hide, why hide if you're in the right?

You're too afraid that your sins will come to the light,

That's alright, it's okay, because I hope you will suffer every day,

I hope that this keeps you up at night,

So here's to you daddy,

Here's to you, hero.

No forgiveness, no more show,

You've wrecked me more than you will ever know.
