All around her memories played.
Flashing in and around her mind like a movie reel,
Stuck on repeat.
Running barefoot through the yard,
Childlike laughter fills the warm summer air.
She pushes sand into piles to form castles.
She played princess.
Pretending to be trapped by an evil dragon,
The only one able to set her free was her prince charming.
The typical playoff of a children’s classic.
Her blonde curls brushed the back of her neck
And blew with the wind.
She had the eyes that made you weak.
A stunning shade of cerulean.
Those eyes could get her anything.
And she prayed for a prince.
Her laughter ruled over the hot summer sun that day.
The next motion picture starts.
It is summer.
She is tall with the same blonde hair spiraling down her back.
Her blue eyes had been changed to a subtle green,
By natures ways.
Sitting on the front step,
A car pulls up.
A smile creeps across her face.
She was no longer the little girl,
In her sandbox waiting for her prince charming,
He was here,
He was now,
He was hers.
