Pondering about life and its hardships in an optimistic point of view

One day, you're gonna look back at your life.  You’re gonna take a photo album or just sit somewhere and think, maybe even tell someone about it. There will be numerous things you won’t mention. Some you will forget since they aren’t all that important, some you have forgotten because you wanted to, some you will just want to keep to yourself. Why is that? There are things we don’t share with others, things that shaped who we are. There are things that hit us hard and hurt real bad you can’t even bear thinking about them. There are memories so good they make you laugh and fix your day, but somehow there aren’t a lot of those. Some you won’t mention because you’re ashamed of them. Like your drunken nights, foolish remarks towards the person you liked, making a fool out of yourself in front of class… Oh, there are countless moments like that in everyone’s past.

But the most important thing is that one day, you’re gonna look back at your life – and smile. No matter how hard the memories are, how much it hurt before and hurts now remembering it, you will smile. It will be a soft smile, the one that shows truth.

One day, you’re gonna look back at your life and smile because no matter how big the pain was, you survived to tell the story.
