Tell Me Today

Whispers swirl, tumble, and fall
They flow gently like leaves
I'm left alone with unclear thoughts
Only feeling how my heart grieves

Come back! Come back to me, my love
Can you hear my aching soul cry?
I'm an empty, hollow shell of pain
Waiting for your shadow to pass by

Your love is now a haunting spirit
Caressing my deepest memories
It follows me into the dark and light
Bringing me to pray on my knees

Come back! Come back to me, my dear
Prove life's beauty will forever stay
Let me hear your precious voice again
Say you love me, just tell me today.
