The Night No One Remembers
Whisper softly in the cold rain
Wash out the violent embers
Ignited fires die down swiftly
The day no one remembers
Stars explode indifferently
Blinding the youth and aged
Freedom calls forth teasingly
Laughing at the shackled and caged
Squirming in toxic tears, they cry
Pain eats their souls apart
Judged by he who is called, I Am
They yearn to change their hearts
Demon spawn dance delightedly
Angelic wings grasp sinless sight
Both separate ways paved for dead
Each one begins their plight
Grave turmoil no longer felt
Neither grief, nor guilt, nor woe
But opposite worlds feel differently
Than their Heavenly-managed foe
A war, a fight, should set them right
Till dusk, dawn, or eternity
Withhold the powers of good and bad
Of glowering glimmer and glee
Clashing worlds due for an end
They proceed without concern
All seems calm and completed
Until fire begins to burn
A light, a dove, an entity
Most powerful in love and grace
All won with joy and excitement
Like designs on delicate lace
The innocent fell back to the lands
With memories of Judgement Day lost
Angels sang high, Heaven did cry
Lives saved, renewed at no cost
The rain poured gently on human-kind
Washing away grime from the Earth
Light shone on sleeping bodies
Blessing them with feelings of mirth
They whisper softly in the rain
Wash away the violent embers
Ignited fires no longer there
On the night no one remembers.
