Rigid as a block of cement
Yet lucid as a stream
I can hardly hold my head
Up high.
In a room as bright as the core of the sun
Shining only on me
Burning my face
Painting it blood red
All eyes on me.
I can not turn away
Cannot hide my flaws
Can only show my embarrassment
Of being alive.
My thoughts fall over
Lost in uncomfortable moments
Of the past, present and future.
Confidence does not hold the key
As I feel the urge to void
Myself from existence.
To be finally in the shade
Sheltered from the sun
Protected from judgment
I lay upon myself.
No eyes shall lay upon me
Except my own,
Center of Attention.
