There are times which you realize that being an adult means a lot of things. Sometimes it means paying bills and not having any money left after working hard. Other times it is finding out that you need health care, but you cannot afford it. It means making your own appointments and finding time to fix things around the house. Sometimes it even involves fixing the house. Being an adult means that you find yourself stressed more often than not. Becoming an adult doesn't mean childhood is gone from you yet, but it feels like it leaves more everyday. As an adult you no longer carry the same friendships you once did - many are busy living their adult lives. Being an adult makes you understand the unfairness of the world, if you did not already know. It makes you face things that you wanted to always avoid. Being an adult means being something more than just a certain number of years old. It isn't about being mature; many adults are not mature at all. Being an adult means doing even when you no longer find you want to do. Being an adult means coming to the realization that you are an adult.
