This is one that I wrote several years back, I figured it was time to publish it on here and see what everyone thought. Thankfully I'm not in the same place I was when I wrote this. Give me your honest opinion...

"This Lie"

-Does this please you?; To play with my heart like you do-

-Do you get a kick out of it, b/c every single day I grow more and more sick of it-

-There were so many lies you told, all along hoping I would fold-

-It makes me sick to think you were lying all along, and that most of all about you I was wrong-

-For these years you've played my heartlike an instrument, I now wonder if any of those words you ever meant-

-I used to think you were heaven sent, now your presence in my heart I lament-

-On your shoulder I was happy to cry, now when I think of it I'd rather die-

-I thought that this time maybe you'd be true, but lately all I find myself being is blue-

-It angers to me to think of the time wasted, when all this time it was your love I would've preferred to have tasted-

-These words I've written are not meant to hurt, but forgive me if because of my heartache they come out a bit curt-

-For you I would have given anything, because in my eyes, you were a king-

-Unfortunately my love for you will never die, so until you realise it, I will keep on living this lie-
