OUR PASTS

Why is life sometimes such a struggle?
Just when you think you’re getting there,
Something happens to make you stop, and stare,
Inner thoughts rise to the surface,

Tears trickle down your face

To the floor landing with so much grace,
You take two steps forward one step back

It’s like that door is always ajar,

Never closing to start again
Always asking for you to face more
You look back with pride at things achieved
Then there the mist of things you don’t want to see,
A
closed chapter in your life yet sometimes it creeps back
Those doors ajar they never shut
Memories of pain we have to adjust
Fight through our thoughts for something more,
Happy thoughts to fight the pain
All I know life’s is that open door
It will never close for we all need to learn more,
Tomorrows are our futures yesterdays are our past
Life sends us cruel and lonely paths
To strengthen us in advance
To go towards our futures
Not take us to our
PASTS.
