STARS AT NIGHT

Standing in the moonlight
Stars they twinkle bright,
Making patterns in the sky
For us to gaze upon,

Chill, is in the air,
As I stand and stare,
The beauty of the night,
Not a sound be heard,

Then up above I see a light,
That shines and drops
Fast within the darkness,
A shooting star line so bright,

I close my eyes
Make a Wish,
For it’s a sight, so rare,
To see a shooting star
Shine so bright above,

I look again, just one last time,
To the stars shining above,
I turn and walk in the door
Thinking, to my self,
What a wonderful sight.

THE SKY IS AT NIGHT
