i should of listened this one time to my DAD

She had short brown hair a small round face quite attractive for her age. Slim in build and just developing boobs as she was only 13 we attended the same school that’s why Pat was my best friend. We knew the fair was coming to town we arranged that we would go this Saturday coming.

I went home from school that day really happy and could not wait for Saturday. I reached my front door the happiness faded away. I thought of my dad and what he would say. I put the key in the door and there he was.“High dad how is you I had a good day at school, Pat has asked me if Saturday I can go to the fair “He replied in a stern voice “You will not go to the fair I forbid it your only 13 you need an adult to accompany you there”.I felt really sad and cried in my room I thought it’s not fair I would be careful yet my dad and his temper and his fists I had felt. So I decided not to argue with him.

Saturday came and I went to see Pat I said “My dad forbids me to go to the fair unless I have an adult to escort us there” ?“I will ask my sister” Pat said with a smile”. Jenny her sister was 16 then Very tall and so attractive long golden hair a face like a Model I hoped someday to look like her. She was always so happy and caring. Pat came back and shouted at me in excitement “She will take us later after tea”. Pat and I talked excitedly of all of the rides we were going to go on. I thought to myself my dad will be okay for now we have an adult to take us you see.

Six a clock came and we all started to walk to The Park as it was only quarter of a mile from there house. The park I recall was very large there was a stream running through it; large children’s play area, with swings and slides a climbing frame, paddling pool part and a merry-go-round. Cricket is also played there on the green, there are lots of wooden benches and trees a couple of tennis courts for people to hire, paths running through it with lamp post too so at night you could see where you were going.

We approached the entrance and could hear the music blaring and the lights lit up the sky they were so bright. Excitement went through me as I had never before been to the fair before Jenny said “do not stray we must all stay together”. We went on the worsell it swung us about, the flying planes my heart was in my mouth. The coconut stand was very hard to knock down three tins with a small wooden ball. The big wheel was so scary when it went to the sky you could see the entire park with the lights now turned on. I knew I had to be home by 9 and Jenny said “its 7.15 you have to start walking to the bus stop now to catch the 7.40 bus home”.

Pat replied “I will walk with you to the Bus stop”. As Pat and I started to walk up the park we joked and laughed and then out of nowhere this guy stopped us and asked “how is your brother” I said “ok” he replied then “I am going you way do you want a lift home” it was getting late and as he seemed to know my brother I said “yes okay” the thought of my Dad and the beating I may get for being late and him finding out that I had been to the fair was frightening. Pat said “take care I will ring you tomorrow” and turned round and headed back to the fair.

We started to walk this stranger and me he chatted I now can’t recall what he said. We headed for the car park quite away from the fair you could still see the lights and hear the music we approached the cricket field he grabbed hold of me, Pushed me to the ground ripped my dress slid his hand to my pants and pulled them down hard, I tried to scream but he covered my mouth the fear inside was so great I froze and feared for my life. With one hand covering my mouth to hide my screams he managed to enter me I was crying so hard. When he had finished I managed to say “have you finished” he got up then ran away. I picked myself up not knowing what to do in a state of shock ran back to the Fair looking for Pat and Jenny, I blurted what had happened hysterically they then took me back to there house then on to the Police station.

Statements were taken and they examined me. With a big metal tube which entered me I felt so sick and cried so much my dad will beat me fear built up inside. My mum and Dad turned up and I was scared out of my skin as to what Dad was going to say? “I told you not to go to the fair but please tell me you are ok” My mum gave me a cuddle as she said “I was not too old for a cuddle”. After the police had finished asking me and Pat lots of questions my parents took me home. Before leaving the police station they asked if I would go to the fair with them over the next few days to see if I could recognise the rapist who had done this to me. So for the next 4 days I was escorted by the police to the fair but unfortunately we did not comprehend him because he was not there to be seen.

New Scotland Yard had just opened and the police sent me there to London to compile a picture of this man and my Dad came with me. This is one of the times he was like a dad?. New Scotland Yard is quite a big building and we were shown upstairs where I had to look at loads of photos to look at then compile a sketch of the guy who had raped me.When we came out of the building my Dad asked me "if there was anywhere in London I wanted to visit" I said “I just wanted to go home”.

I was summoned by police a few days later to attend an identity parade as they had apprehended a guy who looked like my sketch. A tall guy with short brown hair, a clean completion and neatly dressed, a long narrow face bushy eye brows with slight narrowing eyes, he had a big nose and a gold chain round his neck.We all arrived at the Police station Pat, Jenny my Parents and me. One after another we were lead down a line of 8 men to see if we could pick him out you see.I walked very slowly my heart in my mouth looking at each man from head to toe but I was not too sure if he was there so I said to the police “sorry I can’t tell”.

I lost my virginity that day but time it heals and the thoughts fade away
