A poem about secretly drowning in emotions.

I sit in the moonlight,
Sparkles on my cheeks,
But there is something wrong,
Those sparkles are tears.

I hurt so deep,
Pain that rips,
tears,
eats me alive.

Inside my decaying body,
I know I am drowning.

Short and no rhyme scheme. Excellent, I love poems that convey such meaning without the constraints of usual literary styles.

Yes, I do not rhyme in any of my poems. I just tend to be emotional and let my emotions speak for me. Thank you for the comment!

I very much liked this poem, i thought it was simple but powerful in that way that you used so few words and still expressed your feelings, well done.
